UBE Biennale
UBE Biennale was originated with citizens’ movement to improve the city
environment after World War II and it is now the largest open-air sculpture
exhibition in Japan. Since 1961, it has been pursuing the possibilities of
contemporary sculpture, and to create a relation between sculpture and the
townscape.
Twenty winning pieces and forty selected models will be displayed at the
exhibition at Tokiwa Park.
After the exhibition the top 2 pieces will be placed along the streets or in
the parks of Ube City.
